The Winneshiek County Democrats have a full agenda for their upcoming February monthly meeting on Thursday, February 27th at 7:00pm at the UCC Church in Decorah.
In addition to planning for the upcoming March 21st County Convention, the party will be organizing committees to work on various projects throughout the year. This will include events, outreach, voter registration, messaging, data management, and advocacy about issues.
“We’re looking to build on the momentum from the caucuses,” said county chair Nathan Thompson. “Our volunteers and leaders did an outstanding job, so we know that we have the capacity to get a lot done and do it well. We have the potential to accomplish a lot of great things, but we’ll have to focus on organizing ourselves. It’s going to be a long year full of hard work and we need all county Democrats to think about how they can help out.”
The Winneshiek Democrats will also discuss planning for their upcoming March 15th St Patrick’s Day fundraiser, the co-sponsorship of the May 16th Upper Iowa Speedway Race on Armed Forces Day, candidate forums, and summer fundraisers. All Winneshiek County Democrats are welcomed and encouraged to attend the meeting.
